Programme
A message from the SAAD Symposium organisers
We're delighted to tell you about this year's SAAD Symposium.
The theme is 'From First Call to Safe Home'. It is about the entire patient journey—from that first anxious telephone call, through assessment and treatment, right through to recovery, discharge and documentation.
What excites us about this programme is that it is incredibly practical. We've brought together speakers who are working at the frontline of sedation and patient care. We will be exploring neurodiversity and sensory differences, integrating sedation into implant practice, sedation for the ageing patient, the latest evidence on remimazolam, and the medico-legal aspects of sedation records and clinical decision-making.
We're honoured to be joined by outstanding speakers including Raj Rattan who is going to be talking about clinical judgement and AI, and Len D’Cruz with the legal aspects of record keeping.
We're also tackling the everyday challenges we all face in practice, with a practical and reproducible approach to the 12-minute pre-sedation assessment, exploration of cannulation conundrums and troubleshooting techniques. As well as Laleh Sharifian discussing what she's learned from her first 300 cases using remimazolam in primary care.
During the panel session we'll tackle real-world sedation questions, share experiences and learn from each other.
We're looking forward to seeing you there!
