Carole Boyle - Biography
Carole is a Consultant and Clinical Lead for Special Care Dentistry at Guy’s, and St Thomas’ Hospitals in London. Her particular interests are using sedation for people who require special care, teaching sedation both to undergraduates and postgraduates and providing dental care under general anaesthesia. She is a member of Dental Council at the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. Carole is the clinical lead for sedation and special care dentistry at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust (GSTT) the largest teaching department in the UK.
Byan Kerr - Biography
Consultant in Department of Sedation and Special Care Dentistry, Guy’s Hospital, King’s College London Faculty of Dentistry, Oral & Craniofacial Sciences.
Bryan completed an MSc in Sedation and Special Care Dentistry at King's College London (KCL) and is now a Consultant at Guy's Hospital, London. He provides training in conscious sedation to undergraduate and postgraduate dentists at KCL. Bryan is the immediate past chair of DSTG.
Frank Clough - Biography
Frank graduated from the University of Bristol in 2015, he went on to spend a year as a Senior House Officer in Restorative Dentistry at the Royal London Hospital during which time he gained qualification in the practice of conscious sedation for dentistry.
He has become skilled in managing patients with complex anxiety and emotional needs, helping them to challenge their phobias and receive the treatment they require in a way that is comfortable, stress-free and, above all, safe.
Frank is now the Clinical lead for Sedation at a busy sedation service in primary care.
Stacey Clough - Biography
Stacey works as a Consultant in Special Care Dentistry at Barts Health NHS Trust, where her main patient base is young people and adults with dental anxiety, behavioural or medical complexities which challenge the delivery of dental treatment.
Originally graduated from the University of Leeds, she has since completed Diploma of Membership of the Joint Dental Faculties of the Royal College of Surgeons of England, followed by a Certificate of Completion of Specialty Training and Masters of Science in Special Care Dentistry.
Stacey has published articles in peer reviewed scientific journals to advance patient care across settings and dental education. She is involved in teaching of the dental team and specialty trainees at all levels through Barts Health and Queen Mary’s University London.
